Paul has travelled from Vancouver to Nandi Hills every year for the past 7 years. Kenya is the country he has spent the most time in besides Canada, and in many ways, it feels like home to him. Paul is energized by working directly with small-scale farmers in Kenya, living with them on the tea gardens and processing tea together. He is passionate about connecting you back to the farmer who made your cup of tea possible… like Boaz, Jamilla and Emmanuel. Paul manages JusTea’s sales, marketing, and product development. If you have any questions about tea, He’s your go-to, he has taken many courses in tea and is a professional tea taster. Sitting on the couch with my wife Sally, watching logs in the fireplace sizzle and crackle.
What’s your favourite Canadian delicacy; maple syrup or poutine?

1 day … if on land. We all just need to get on a boat and sail to an island. Zombies can’t swim, right?

Any instrumental old-school Hawaiian song with a slide guitar. Such as Nani Wolfgramm. I love that music.

Do you have any funny stories from Kenya?
Many! One of my faves is when we were having dinner with Boaz, Jamilla and their son Trevor (who was 3 years old at the time). We were eating our meal and asking Trevor what colour different things in the room were. What colour is the table… brown. What colour is the salad… green. Then Boaz asked Trevor what colour I was… PEACH! hahaha
How do you spend your free time outside of work?
Planting things in the garden with my 2-year-old daughter Cleo, playing soccer with my friends, or listening to podcasts/audiobooks.
